The Trougher Impact System is designed to
match with CEMA standard dimensions. Each system is setup on
CEMA D6 and E7 standards to maximize the impact absorption.
If your requirements are for C5, D5, or E6, contact PPI
about our Low Profile Impact System (TISL).
In the close-up (bottom left) you can see
what makes the TIS so unique. Each roll is fitted with a
rugged 2 inch, 1045 shaft end to act as a knuckle, pivoting
as the roll moves. This design will take the abuse of
impact, and make it easy to replace the roll.
The second part is the black round
cylinder, under the roll supports. This is a rubber
marshmellow, that will absorb the shock from
impact.

TROUGHING IDLERS
Precision® Idlers are
available in CEMA B, CEMA C and CEMA D series. The "B"
series are available 4" and 5" diameter rolls with 17 mm
ball bearings. CEMA C series idlers are available in 4", 5"
and 6" diameter rolls with either 3/4" ball bearings or 3/4"
tapered roller bearings. CEMA D series idlers are available
in 5" and 6" diameter rolls with 3/4" tapered roller or 1"
ball bearings. CEMA E series idlers are available in 6"
and 7" diameter rolls with 1 11/16" ball bearings.

CEMA E series idlers are
available in 6" and 7" diameter rolls with 1 11/16" shaft
and 6308 ball bearings with our triple action seals.

IDLERS
Precision® Impact Idlers
are built to withstand the shock at the loading zone. The
rubber rolls used on impact idlers are made of natural
molded rubber which is ideal for shock absorbing
characteristics.

UNEQUAL TROUGHING
IDLERS
PPI Unequal Idlers (or picking
idlers) are available special conveyors where the product is
spread over a flat belt with the side turned up to prevent
spillage.

SELF-ALIGNING TROUGHING
IDLERS
Precision® Self-Aligning
Idlers are built to the same specifications as troughing
idlers. The frame is mounted on a separate base with tapered
roller bearings, and it is free to swivel within controlled
limits. A unique feature of this style is its ability to
adjust roll height for additional training. The side guide
rolls can be universally mounted on either side for belt
travel in either direction or centered at the roll ends for
reversing belts.

FLAT CARRIER IDLERS
Precision® Flat Carrier
Idlers are constructed to the same specifications as the
troughing idlers. The support bracket's strength is equal to
or greater than the idler load rating. Precision furnishes 4
½" end stands as standard. If a different height is
required, please contact the factory.

RUBBER DISC FLAT CARRIER
IDLERS
Rubber Disc Flat Carrier Idlers are
made of abrasion resistant, synthetic rubber with an
encapsulated steel ring which maintains a compression fit
between a heavy wall tube and the disc

SELF-ALIGNING FLAT CARRIER
IDLERS
All of the features that are designed
into the Self-Aligning Troughing Idlers will be found in
this idler style too.

ADJUSTABLE PITCH
IDLERS
The ability to change the pitch of
the idler allows the conveyor belt to be properly supported
as it changes shape from the last carrying idler to the
terminal pulley. This idler is available in all CEMA series
and roll diameters.

RETURN IDLERS
Precision® Return Idlers
are available in CEMA B with 17 mm ball bearings. CEMA C
Return Idlers are available with 3/4" ball bearings or 3/4"
tapered roller bearings. CEMA D series are supplied with
3/4" tapered roller re-greaseable bearings or 1" ball
bearings. Standard drop brackets are 4 ½" unless 1
½" drop brackets are requested.

Rubber Disc Return Idlers are
constructed from abrasion resistant, synthetic rubber discs.
An encapsulated steel ring maintains a compression fit
between the disc and a heavy wall inner tube.

CHANNEL INSET TROUGHING
IDLERS
Designed for between frame mounting,
Precision® offers this style for use where
vertical clearances are minimal. This style meets CEMA load
requirements and is available in both CEMA B (14"-48") and
CEMA C (24"-60") with 4" and 5" diameter rolls.

RETURN ROLL GUARD
This guard provides a barricade of
the pinch point created by the belt passing over a return
roll. Its mounting bracket provides easy installation on 4",
5" or 6" rolls with 4 ½" drop brackets utilizing the
return bracket's mounting bolts. While normally used on
return rolls with seven feet or less vertical clearance from
the ground or decking, it may be used on any return roll.
Note: Also available in 1 ½" drop brackets and in HD
type for D Rolls and extra belt sag.

SMART ROLL
The redesigned Smart Roll has AC / DC
/ NPN / PNP operation from the same unit. This unit has
short circuit and overload protection. Sensor life and
reliability are extremely important to overall reliability
of the conveyor system. The smart roll option is now
exclusively offered in a select range of our CEMA "D" Idler
product line. The added life of the CEMA "D" ensures
excellent reliability and maximum sensor protection in most
applications. Our new sensor takes advantage of the latest
sensor technologies for unsurpassed sensing reliability. The
extended range and unique target design combine to make
missed or lost target sensing a thing of the past. Our new
Smart Monitor is available to attach to any of our new "SA"
Smart Rolls. The Smart Monitor can act as a under speed
switch for your conveyor system. The Smart Roll is shown to
the left as a CSR (Clean Side Return) with no load, so
that the roll life is many times that of a conventional
idler.
